Searching for some accessories. Sunglasses.
One of the particularities of Madrid (apart the cab drivers who try to mow down poor cyclists as in New York) this week is the weather. I would define it as schizophrenic. It's perfectly possible to frolic in spring sunshine one day, and cover in a ranging rain the next. Not only it makes me dress with complication (trying to walk in ballerines in a freak snowstorm is impossible) but this requires diligence with accessories too.
As someone who always loses their gloves (one of each), I can never find my sunglasses, scarfs/hats and umbrellas, and I can guarantee I never carrying with me the right accoutrements for the weather. Of that list the absolute bane of my life are bloody sunglasses. Can I ever find a pair when the frick sun shines? I can check. When I'm not hiding them under the bed, behind the sofa or in the fridge, I'am probably leaving them in the bus.
From the moment I have lost a pair of Carrera and a pair of Marni. I can't find them. Marni are not cheap. I bought the pair, I was hooked. But now I am here with no sunglasses so sans Marni and having snapped a pair of Mykita. I have had to buy a non-pain financially pair of sunglasses.
Anyway I finally bought these yesterday:
I know that you are going to be impressed! they were super cheap (EUR 50 KOMONO) have proper sun filtering lenses (which is nearly impossible at that price point) and.....they actually suit me! I certainly can hang out in Madrid wearing them I am not a mistaken for a faux hipster.
