Food I love...Food I loathe

Having marked March and April as my months for kickstarting my health and my fitness regime, I have to say that I'm pretty pleased how things are going so far. Thanks to my sports club and the sports that I practise I'am down some kilos, 3,3 and I'am planning next month to heading down to a sports bootcamp, my first ever, in Toledo.

Today searching and reading in the internet some recipes I have found a questionnaire of a nutritionist with a section for food that people dislike. I thought it was time.

Out of both politeness and a sense of adventure I've trained myself to eat most of the ingredients that I dislike growing up. Partly as my paladar has become more sophisticated as I 've got older: I wouldn't touch lettuce, peas, unaltered garlic or uncooked olive oil (or any dressings or vinaigrette) until I was in my late teens but today cannot imagine to live with.
Some foods I didn't know and I refuse to try: I gave away chips (french fries)  until I was maybe ten: because we had never had at home, I presumed I didn't like them.
On the other hand although I think i will now eat blue cheese, pears and aubergines which all be used at my personal index. And there is other food I would certainly never choose to cook and only eat them out of politeness at restaurants or at any other people's houses.

However there are some other foods I cannot eat without having a gag reflex. So, just for my amusement here are the foods that under any circumstance, contemplate putting in my mouth:

A glass of milk: YUK. I remember the taste of the milk in those of little ice cold glass bottles, that we were forced to suck up at Primary school, But my horror for the milk doesn't extend to cheese, yoghurt, cream (mmm) or milk as an ingredient: bechamel., but it does include the following horrors:
Rice pudding and semolina: these are milky puddings with the texture of wallpaper paste. What's to like?
Porridge: more milky horror.
Bird's Custard Powder: Slimy, smelly, milky!
Green peppers: Merely an unripe red pepper. Sour and nasty.
Tapioca: again it's the milky texture. YUK.
Liquorice & aniseed: it's the same camp, as fas as I'm concerned. Let's add Pernod, Anisette & Ricard in there.
Cooked bananas: I blame my mother's banana mousse for putting me permanently off the persuasive taste of blended or cooked bananas. I shudder still at the memory.
Desiccated coconut: Eurgh, the texture.I refused to eat fresh coconuts, or coconut milk based curries for years, not realising that desiccated coconut was a filthy invention with no relation to coconut milk.
Salad cream and margarine: 2 aberrations that offend every sensibility.
Jackfruit: a bit rarified this, but, believe me I've never forgotten the rancid taste & slippery, silky fruit.
Marzipan: again the texture, but I adore almonds & almonds essence.
Honey & Dates: I don't like super sweet things.

What foods can you no stand? or, conversely have you trained yourself to eat?
